My story

I am Shakori Edwards. I am a founder, an author, and an artist, and everything I do comes back to one belief: that a person can start with almost nothing and still build something that lasts.

My roots run five generations deep in Dorchester County, South Carolina, in families who helped shape the local church and school communities. That legacy is the ground I stand on. It taught me that building is never just about me; it is about the people who come next.

I made my own way from $20 to a life I am proud of.

In 2023 I founded Youngpreneur Academy, a nonprofit that teaches young people ages 8 to 18 how to dream, build, and run their own ideas. Through my company, Business Key Solutions, I design the brands, websites, and platforms that bring visions to life, my own and other people's. Along the way I have built tools for my community, from a local events calendar to civic and voter platforms, and I am telling my own story in my memoir and my music.

Everything I create now is about opening that same door for someone else. That is the work. That is the mission.
